The Department of French and Italian hosted French philosopher and playwright, Alain Badiou, October 18 - October 19, 2017, for Graduate workshops and a lecture on his forthcoming book, "Immanence of Truths," and Kenneth Reinhard, Ph.D., UCLA. who presented the lecture, "The Fundamental Philosophy of Alain Badiou,"

The presentations are split into two videos and an audio file.  Part 1 is the lecture, "The Fundamental Philosophy of Alain Badiou," presented by Kenneth Reinhard, Ph.D., UCLA, and Part 2 is the lecture, "The Immanence of Truths," by the French Philosopher, Alain Badiou, former chair of the  École normale supérieure (ENS) and founder of the faculty of Philosophy of the Université de Paris VIII.  Part 3 is audio of the Workshop, "Logics of Worlds."
