Each summer, the department organizes two intensive, four-week language immersion programs in Aix-en-Provence (France) and Pisa (Italy). Co-taught by Princeton and local faculty, these courses count as the equivalent of FRE 207 and ITA 207, respectively. They are geared especially toward prospective FIT majors or minor students. 

New for the summer of 2025 is a five-week immersion community engagement course in Bayonne (France) led by Christine Sagnier. This course, FRE 329F, will count towards the minor in French.
