Profile

Sarah Kislingbury is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of French and Italian. Her dissertation research focuses on photo-illustrated poetry volumes of interwar France and her research interests include literary photobooks, surrealist and children's photopoetry, as well as popular and avant-garde illustrated journals. Before coming to Princeton, Sarah received a B.A in French from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in French Literature from the Université de Paris - La Sorbonne. Apart from her teaching appointments at Princeton, Sarah has taught at the Université de Paris I- Panthéon, the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle in Paris and the Lycée David d’Angers in Angers.
