Profile

Adrian is a second-year student in the department of French and Italian. Before moving to Princeton, Adrian completed his BA in Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago and his MA in French at the University of Toronto, where he worked as a teaching assistant. His research interests focus primarily on nineteenth- and twentieth-century poetry and how changes to the city are related to subjectivity. Other interests include the twentieth-century French novel, the criticism of Roland Barthes, and researching portrayals of melancholy in literature. In his spare time, Adrian enjoys language learning, listening to and playing music, and finding great places to eat.
