On March 21st, 2025, the Department of French and Italian proudly sponsored a group of students from the Italian section—and beyond—to experience Franco Zeffirelli’s breathtaking La Bohème at the Metropolitan Opera House.

For many, it was their first time at the Met, and for some, their very first opera. The stunning sets, the exquisite costumes, and the magic of Puccini’s masterpiece made for a memorable evening. Most importantly, it was a night spent in great company, building connections with old friends and new ones alike.
