The Department of French and Italian congratulates two of its graduate students for their most recent achievements:

Austin Hancock has received an honorific Dodds Fellowship for work on his dissertation, “La Boxe contre l’ombre: Boxing and the Historical Avant-Garde, 1909-1945,” written under the supervision of Professor Effie Rentzou.

Chloé Vettier has received the Graduate School Teaching Award, bestowed in consultation with the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning, for her outstanding performance as an Assistant in Instruction at all levels of the French language curriculum.

These are both highly selective and prestigious awards for which the Department offers, again, its proud congratulations!
