Congratulations to French certificate student, Ananya Malhotra '20, winner of a Rhodes Scholarship!

Ananya Malhotra '20 Ananya Malhotra '20, a French certificate student, has been selected for a Rhodes Scholarship. 

Malhotra, of Atlanta, is a concentrator in The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, and also is pursuing certificates in European cultural studies, and French language and culture. At Oxford, she will pursue the two-year M.Phil. in international relations.

“I was completely shocked [upon receiving the news] and overcome with emotion and gratitude for all the people I love who have made me who I am — especially my parents and younger sister,” Malhotra said. “I owe everything to them and to my closest friends, as well as the support and guidance of my mentors, professors, and former teachers who believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.”

The Department of French and Italian has had the privilege of having three Rhodes Scholars study with us over the past five years, Rachel Skokowski '15, Aaron Robertson ’17, and Ananya Malhotra '20.
