Gaetana Marrone’s The Cinema of Francesco Rosihe (Oxford, 2020), the first comprehensive study of the great realist artist of post-war Italian cinema, has been awarded the International Prize “Letteratura” (2020-22) by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Napoli. It was selected from 1037 finalists from around the world for the Instituto Prize, which recognizes works that significantly contribute to ongoing ethical and cultural debates about civic society.
