Event Description
L'Avant-Scène presents Molière’s beloved comédie-ballet Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme (1670) on December 7 and 8 at 8 pm, and December 9 at 2 pm at the Whitman College Class of 1970 Theater. With Monsieur Jourdain, a nouveau riche who tries to develop the cultural and social habits of aristocrats, Molière satirizes middle-class manners.
The production, directed by Florent Masse, features a new generation of L’Avant-Scène actors: James Facon '20, Caroline Stafford '18, Donald Della Pietra '20, Jivahn Moradian '20, Ellie Maag '19, Isabel Leigh '19, Kali Radu, Nick Shashkini '21, Joseph Prentice, Ben Lawton '18 & William Griffith '21.
