Department of French and Italian presents a lecture and workshop for FIT Lecturers and Graduate Students, Écrits et images dans l’espace urbain : perspectives pluridisciplinaires, with Francesca Cozzolino (École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs), César Cumbe, (Université de Maputo, Mozambique, Observatoire des Sociétés de l’Océan Indien) and Christine Sagnier (Department of French and Italian, Princeton University).

Francesca Cozzolino  (École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris) is a specialist in Social and Cultural Anthropology. Her research focuses on the ethnography of artistic practices, at the crossroads between visual studies and anthropology of art. She is a research associate at EnsadLab and an affiliate member at the Laboratoire d’Ethnologie et de Sociologie Comparative (LESC-CNRS) of the Paris West University Nanterre La Défense.

Cesar Cumbe (University of Maputo, Mozambique) is a specialist in sociolinguistics. His research focuses on multilingualism in post-colonial situations and on writing in the public spaces. He is an affiliated researcher of the Observatory of the Indian Ocean Societies and currently collaborates with colleagues from a wide range of discipline in the French-speaking island of La Réunion.
