Celebrating Twenty Years of Full-Length Plays at L’Avant-Scène
In addition to the Anniversary Performances of “Le Dindon” by Feydeau, performed by L’Avant-Scène students and directed by Florent Masse in the Wallace Theater of the Lewis Arts Complex on April 18th at 8 pm, April 19th at 8 pm, and April 20th at 3 pm, conversations with alumni, longstanding partners, special guests, and a film screening will take place between April 16th and April 20th.
L’Avant-Scène, the French Theater Workshop, was founded on the Princeton University campus in the fall of 2001. It was formerly known as L’Atelier. In April 2004, it presented its first full-length play, “Le Dindon” by Georges Feydeau. Since then, it has produced an average of four full-length plays every academic year, presenting both classics and contemporary plays from the French repertoire.
