Master Class Series

It produced Master Class Series during AYs 15-16 and 16-17 as well as during the fall of 2017, bringing to Princeton University a myriad of French theater artists : actors, directors, and drama professors. Gallienne taught FRE 311-THR 312 Advanced French Theater Workshop and Rambert created a new course FRE/THR/CWR 388 Writing, Directing, and Acting Others. In the fall of 2019, Clément Hervieu-Léger visited the program as Visiting Belknap Fellow in the Humanities Council and the Department of French and Italian. Among the artists who visited Princeton in the past few years for master classes are Sandy Ouvrier, Caroline Marcadé, Xavier Gallais, Louis Arène, Lionel Lingelser, Elise Vigier, Nanténé Traoré, Kevin Keiss, Nicolas Mesdom, Anne Théron, Thomas Bouvet, Marie Vialle, Bernard Faivre d’Arcier, Olivier Py, Jeanne Balibar, Jean-François Peyret, Victor Lenoble, Jean-Frédéric Lemoues, and Joël Maillard.
